Password Management & Security Policies
Changing credentials, password policies, cryptographic hashing, and automated session invalidation.
#Updating Your Account Password
To change your password, visit the Security Center at /account/security under "Password Management":
1. Enter your new password ensuring it meets the minimum length and entropy thresholds.
2. Click "Update Password".
3. NSGO securely updates your authentication record in Supabase Auth via supabase.auth.updateUser().
4. An immutable security audit event (PASSWORD_UPDATED) is recorded in security_activity.
#Storage & Encryption Standards
Passwords are never stored in plain text. NSGO utilizes Supabase Auth cryptographic hashing (bcrypt with adaptive work factors). Even platform administrators and database engineers cannot view or reverse passwords.
#Updating Your Primary Email
You can initiate an email change from the Security Center. An authorization token is dispatched to the new email address. Your identity remains bound to the old address until the confirmation link is validated, preventing accidental lockout.
